Jing Guifei, a native of Jing County, Hebei Province, is currently a researcher at the Beidou Silk Road Research Institute of the Institute of Frontier Science and Technology Innovation of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Peking University in 1991 and 1994, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from Beijing Normal University in 2004. From 1994 to 1997, he served as a teaching assistant and lecturer at the Institute of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System, Peking University. From 1997 to 2004, he worked as an assistant researcher in the Information Department of the Department of High-tech Development and Industrialization of the Ministry of Science and Technology. From 2004 to 2017, he worked in the National Remote Sensing Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and served as director and deputy director. Since June 2017, he has been employed as the dean of Beidou Silk Road College of Beihang University. At present, the main work is to promote the Beidou system, navigation and location services to the Belt and Road scientific research promotion, training, academic education and other work.
