China OA Week is the most influential open access seminar platform in China, and by 2021, the theme of the platform will be expanded to ‘Open Science’ to promote the concept and practice of open access and open science in China. China OA Week was founded and hosted by the Centre for Documentation and Intelligence of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. After ten years of development, China OA Week has developed several features: it has been successfully held for ten consecutive years, which fully reflects the influence and importance of open science in China; the scope of participants has been expanded to include scientists in the field of natural sciences, scholars in the scientific research data industry, and experts in the publishing industry, which reflects that open science, as a new scientific research paradigm, has gained wide attention and recognition; the level of international cooperation has been improved, with the introduction of international experts on open science such as UNESCO, and the introduction of a number of international experts on open science. The level of international cooperation of the conference has been upgraded, and international voices on open science, such as UNESCO, have been introduced; and the conference has received extensive attention from the news media.
